Hector J. Torres

Hector J. Torres was born in McAllen, Texas. He attended the University of Texas at Austin, where he earned a BBA degree in 1985. After working in Dallas as a Tax Auditor for the State of Texas, Hector attended law school at Arizona State University. After law school, Hector returned to Texas and began working for a well-established law firm in McAllen, Texas called Ewers and Toothaker.
Hector also worked as an Assistant District Attorney for Hidalgo County, where he tried numerous cases involving misdemeanor and felony offenses. Because of this early courtroom experience, Hector focused his career on civil litigation, mostly in the areas of insurance defense and personal injury defense. Hector has represented clients from large corporations and insurance companies to small business owners, individuals and pro bono clients. Hector is an avid runner, and he enjoys golf, watching football and other sports and going to the movies with his wife, Mary.
